We welcome and affirm everyone of every race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, and gender identity, just as Jesus did and does and calls for his followers to do the same.

The Missiongathering churches are communities of faith that are seeking to found life-changing hope, love, and imagination in the life and message of Jesus, the Christ, and we simply desire as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom, healing, and renewal.[/trx_title]

Our Sunday Gatherings at Missiongatherings are about 90 minutes in length. The gatherings begin with the Missiongathering Worship Band leading the community of faith in meaningful music – song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of the gathering is complete, one of our Pastors will come out to share an encouraging, practical and hope-filled message

We believe that children should have a fun, inspirational, yet educational time at church every single week. At Little Villagers, we make this a top priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Little Villagers program the first time that you visit. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for the Little Villagers experience. Little Villagers is offered at every Missiongathering Sunday Gathering for kids ages infant through Grade 5. All children workers are professionally background checked and screened.

We know going to a new church for the first time can be intimidating, or deciding to go back to a faith community in a long time, can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Missiongathering a great one! If you have any questions, please find one of our Team members to answer any questions you may have.

A: We seek to follow the way of Jesus as exemplified in the Bible, along with a willingness to re-imagine tradition, accept the diversity of humanity, emphasize social justice, and caring for God’s creation.

Q:  Does your church really accept all people?

A: We are a church that believes God’s love and welcome have no limits, and that includes people of LGBTQ+ status. We welcome and affirm all people as being made in God’s image.

Q: Do you believe the Bible is relevant for today?

A: For centuries the Scriptures have provided meaning and direction for humanity, and we believe that Bible gives insightful truths and the Bible is very relevant for us today.

Q: Why do you practice the sacrament of Communion/Eucharist/The Lord’s Supper weekly?

A: We believe that Communion/Eucharist/The Lord’s Supper is a sign and symbol of the grace of God revealed in Jesus, and in receiving it weekly, we are repeatedly reminded of that grace.

Q: Who is allowed to participate in Holy Communion?

A: We believe that there’s plenty of room at God’s table and church, therefore we invite all to participate this amazing time known as Communion.

Q: Are the Missiongathering Churches a part of any Denominational affiliation?  YES! The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) We are proud members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), which is a 200 year old movement of God, denomination that encourages individual thought and Biblical interpretation; a popular saying in the denomination is “No Creed but Christ.”  The identity statement of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) states: “We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.”

Missiongathering Charlotte has partnered with a number of local non-profits to not only provide support but a collaborative workspace, where local non-profits can have a place to call home while they grow their mission. Churches aren’t meant to sit empty throughout the week or to only serve the people that attend on Sunday. Please check out our Collective Causes and get involved, these people are changing the world, one day at a time.[/trx_title]
